B-roll: SVRS Deaf-to-Hearing Call Demonstration
Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals who use sign language call hearing individuals using a Sorenson Communications videophone and Sorenson Video Relay Service (SVRS). They quickly and easily place calls to hearing friends and associates by connecting to sign language interpreters who receive, interpret and relay the calls between the two parties.
Using a standard telephone, hearing individuals can quickly and easily call deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals who use sign language through Sorenson Video Relay Service (SVRS). Calls are routed, interpreted, and relayed through a sign language interpreter who facilitates communication between the hearing and deaf individuals. Deaf individuals receive the calls on a Sorenson Communications videophone.
