• Identify, Train, and administrate the VI-P program within the VRS Center.

• Provide ongoing support to the Sorenson VRS Interpreting Center.
• Provide regular skills and/or knowledge training and follow up with the language mentor and center VI-P trainers.

Writer-Editor

• Research and write a variety of newsletter articles which feature corporate messaging, new products, features, and services and profiles of employees and end-users of Sorenson's products.
• Recommend newsletter graphics and photography.
• Work collaboratively with staff in the Marketing and other departments to create and refine newsletter content, layout design, and distribution.
• Write, edit, and proofread Marketing copy, including website content, news releases, scripts, and video captioning.

• 10+ years experience in journalism and/or technical writing.
• Minimum of a Bachelor (BS, BA) degree in a related field.

• Actively support the mission of Sorenson Communications.
• Participate in departmental and Institute committee work; teaching curriculum development; academic support services, student recruitment, coordinating field placements, creating innovative practices in the American Sign Language interpreting field; and participate in professional organizations.
• Must have excellent communication and teaching skills; a commitment to quality education and student-centeredness; and the ability to work with a diverse student population and be part of a collaborative team.
• Must demonstrate leadership skills, academic advisement, assisting Department Chair in recruiting qualified adjunct instructors, and planning and evaluation of programs in support of the department's goals and activities.
• Ability to manage classroom loads, curriculum development, lab equipment, and computers.
• Must be able to manage project completion timeframes and deadlines.
• Must have teaching experience and be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must provide teaching demonstration and portfolio before full time/adjunct faculty position will be offered.
